about us
The Woodlawn Ensemble, created in 2025 by violinist Hannah Goldstick, is a chamber collective and concert series bringing expressive and innovative chamber music programs to the Jamaica Plain and greater Boston area.
. . .
Our concerts aim to capture the spirit of an impromptu reading party - cramped in a cozy living room, maybe a couple of beers and salty chips, string quartet scores strewn about, & friends, friends, friends. A community that wants to make meaningful musical moments for the people around them. Musical moments that are as fun as they are touching, and as intimate as they are bombastic.
The Woodlawn Ensemble also aims to provide high-level performance opportunities for musicians entering their early careers. It began as a way to “fill the gap” between the music scene that exists, and the music scene that we want. Musicians are comprised of graduates from conservatories such as New England Conservatory and The Juilliard School.
